Ludwig Feist was born on July 29, 1927 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Ludwig and Elizabeth (Lauinger) Feist. He was raised in Grand Forks and attended St. Michael’s School. He was employed with Braseth Plumbing of Grand Forks. Later, he was employed with the city of Grand Forks Sanitation Department until his retirement in 1992. Ludwig married Betty Benson on July 27, 1963 in East Grand Forks, MN. Following their marriage, they resided in Grand Forks. Ludwig moved to Valley Eldercare Center in 1998, where he resided until his death. He is survived by, his wife, Betty; a son, Ludwig (Danielle) Feist, Grand Forks, ND; sisters-in-law, Ann Feist, Grand Forks, ND, Lois Feist, Great Falls, MT and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Casper, Anthony, Joseph, Sebastian; sisters, Mary Halvorson, Irene Miller, Martha Migl and Glenna Loken. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006 in the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel, Grand Forks, ND Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the funeral chapel and one hour before services in the funeral chapel on Thursday.
