I???m sure she was dreaming of the beautiful place she was preparing to go. Jesus opened his gates for her to enter his heavenly world on July 15, 2010, to be united with him and her family who had gone before. Helen Marie Fochs was born Dec. 8, 1918, to Thersa Reinartz and John Bettinger in the family farmhouse southeast of Ryegate. All her years of schooling were in Ryegate, graduating in 1937. On June 5, 1941, she and George Fochs were united in marriage in Ryegate. They farmed and ranched in Shawmut with their eight children and moved to Billings in 1961 where she lived out the rest of her years. Preceded in death by husband, George, son Leo John, parents, brother John Bettinger and grandson Kevin Fochs. She is survived by seven children, Mary Drogitis, Michael (Cheri), David, Diane (Lloyd) Maichel, Dolores, William and Thomas (Victoria); 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mom, we will always remember the shirts for the boys, dresses for girls, afghans and doilies enjoyed by all, the wonderful deserts, homemade bread and cinnamon rolls, especially your holiday feasts, your gardens and flowerbeds, and always keeping ice cream in the freezer. ???Angel of God, my guarding dear, ???to whom God???s love commits me here. ???Ever this day be at my side ???to light and guard to rule and guide. Amen.??? Services will be Saturday July 24, at 11 a.m. at St Pius Catholic Church. Interment of the ashes will be held at a later date.
