Brumm, age 86, of Stacyville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Visitation Catholic Church, where there will be a Scripture service at 4:30 p.m. and a Foresters Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Urban died Saturday May 19, 2007, at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville. Urban was born February 10, 1921, in Stacyville, the son of John E. and Anna M. (Simon) Brumm. He was baptized at Visitation Catholic Church and attended school at Visitation Schools, graduating in 1938. Urban was united in marriage to Evelyn Mueller on his 21st birthday, February 10, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer. After their marriage they farmed together in the Stacyville area, retiring in 1984, and moved from their farm into Stacyville in 1989. Urban was an avid card player; enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and the National Catholic Order of Foresters. Urban is survived by his five children, Elaine (James) Havlovic of Stacyville, Kenneth (Judy) Brumm of Apple Valley, MN, Vernon Brumm of Mason City, Audrey (Roy) Stefan of Cedar Falls, Jean Brumm of Osage; 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, one step great-granddaughter; three sisters-in-law, Mary Brumm of Stacyville, Avis Brumm of Crescent City, Cal Luella Brumm of Washington State; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Evelyn (March 16, 2003); a daughter-in-law Donna Brumm; four brothers, Delphin Brumm, Morris Brumm, Francis Brumm and Julius Brumm; five sisters, Agnes Theobald, Sister Angeline Brumm, Barbara Kula, Magdalen Royer and Clara Burrill.
