  [S927] Obituary. Elaine C. Steger, 64 Elaine C. Steger (nee Rettler), 64, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Hartford on Oct. 7, 1945, to Leo and Asella (nee Baier) Rettler. Elaine attended Hartford High School for three years and graduated from West Bend High School in 1963. On May 22, 1965, she married Paul J. Steger. Elaine worked at Amity Leather Products for 19 years and then worked for Sysco Foods in Jackson as receptionist for 10 years, retiring in 2006. Elaine dearly loved her kids and grandkids and went to many of their sports activities. She also loved to play bingo. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lomira. Elaine is survived by her four children, Barb (Ryan) Liebert of Lomira, Bonnie (Jim) Narance of Fond du Lac, Brenda (Hugo) Rodriguez of Lomira and Paul J. Steger, Jr. (Tracy) of Sheboygan; her eight grandchildren, Katie (fiancé Matt Burns) and Mike Liebert, Olivia and Samantha Nar-ance, Tony and Maria Rodri-guez, Amya and Hunter Steger. She is further survived by her sister, Jeanette (Jerry) Downing of Reedsburg; her mother-in-law, Olive Steger (nee Weber) of Theresa; sisters-in-law, Mar-gie (Bobby) Giese of Mayville and Mary Ann (Tom) Hechimovich of Fond du Lac; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul J. Steger Sr., in 2004; her parents, Leo and Asella Rettler; sister, Bernice Rettler; father-in-law, Leonard Steger; and brotherin-law, Ray Steger. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lomira with the Rev. Budka officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary?s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 22, at the church only from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family. www.phillipfuneralhome.com.
