Virginia “Ginny” Koers, 72, of Salina, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was born April 20, 1942, in Rapid City, S.D., the daughter of Leonard and Lurlene (Wilson) Feiock.
Ginny was a homemaker and loving mother. She worked as secretery-treasurer and active partner in the family business. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, spending time at the cabin in Colorado, attending her children’s sporting events, especially competitive swimming, and she was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
Ginny was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was active in the church choir and the Page Turner book club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Perdita Bell.
Survivors include her husband, Wally; son, Todd (Kelley), of Salina; daughters, Kristi (Mark) Weiss, of Salina, and Shelli Bell, of Lewisburg, Pa.; sister, Mary Ann (Bob) Livermont, of Denver; grandchildren, Taylor and Rylee Koers, Joseph, Matthew and Charlie Weiss, and Sophie and Leo Bell.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with private family burial in Highland Cemetery in New Cambria.
There will be no visitation; cremation was chosen.
Memorials are to the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
