Donald E. Clements passed away Saturday, November 3, 2001 at Silver Cross Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Clements is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Florine (nee Maple) and is the beloved father of Wayne (Madeline) of Joliet, Lawrence (Theresa) of Crown Point, IN, Kathleen Juresic of Aurora and Marilyn (Jeffrey) Escue of Bloomingdale.
Also seven grandchildren, Eric and Cory Clements, Jaclyn and Brittany Clements, Daniel, Douglas and Steven Monroe.
He was born in Nashville, IN, December 31, 1930 to James and Louise (nee Williams) Clements, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Clements was a lifelong member of the Christian Church.
He directed many church choirs and was a solo singer.
Member of the Masonic Lodge in New Point, IN. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He held a Master's Degree in Education from Ball State University and taught in Indiana schools before moving to Joliet.
He was a guidance counselor at East and Central High schools in Joliet for 26 years, retiring in 1992. Since retiring he volunteered at the Lockport Food Pantry.
Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd, Wednesday, November 7th at 11 AM with Rev. John Starr officiating.
Entombment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lockport Food Pantry, 520 Maitland, Lockport, IL, 60441 will be appreciated.
