Paul L. Jacobs
Paul L. Jacobs, 58, of Dundee died Thursday, March 18, 2004, in Aultman Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1946, at Dover to Mary Camden Jacobs of Massillon and the late Harold Jacobs.
Paul retired from Schumacher Construction in June 2003. He served in the Army from 1965-67 including a tour of Vietnam and was a 1965 graduate of Strasburg High School.
Paul loved going camping with Lee in their beautiful new RV and loved playing ?The Slots? in Las Vegas. He enjoyed woodworking and was a wonderful husband and father who did everything he could to take care of his family.
Surviving is his wife, Aletha L. ?Lee? Jacobs whom he married Dec. 10, 1967; three daughters, Robbee Brandon of Dundee, Julie (Doug) Lackey of Dover, Dena (Eric) Glasser of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; three brothers, LeRoy (Lenny) Jacobs and Roger (Barb) Jacobs, both of Massillon, Kenny Jacobs of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Marti Jacobs of Sugarcreek; brother-in-law, Joe Ciesielczyk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Linda Ward; and six grandchildren, Chris Brandon, Adam Brandon, Holli Brandon, Josh Yackey, Zack Yackey, Maggie Glasser.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clyde Parsons; mother-in-law, Glenna Parsons; and sister, Ruth Ciesielczyk.
Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at 11 a.m. in Butler-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek with Pastor Mark Jacobs officiating. Burial will take place in Dundee Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be conducted by Sugarcreek American Legion Homer Weiss Post 494.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at Aultman Hospital.
