OBITUARY FOR MAURICE G. KARL
Maurice G. Karl, 70, 236 Laird S.E., died of a heart attack at 11:20p.m. Tuesday [October 18, 1966] at his home, following a six-months illness.
Born Aug. 18, 1896 in Margos, O., he was the son of Jonathan and Anna Weaver Karl.
A resident here 46 years, coming from Dover, he was employed as a carpenter by the Brainard Steel Co. for 30 years.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors include his wife, Philomena Hartman Karl, whom he married July 8, 1919; a son, Robert of Warren; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Bode of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Edward (Irene) Hughes of St.Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Harold (Elizabeth) Nims of Dayton; a sister, Mrs.James Hood and two brothers, Ferdinand and Norman Karl, all of Warren; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church.Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Staton Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9p.m., where the office of the dead service will be held at 8:45.

A requiem high Mass for Maurice G. Karl, 236 Laird SE, was celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Sylvester Kaminski officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pall bearers were: Charles Bode, Douglas and Ronald Nims, Dennis Hughes, Robert Cashman and Edward Gorse. Arrangements were made by the Staton Funeral Home.
