Lee William Hartman, age 91, of Louisville, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, passed away Friday, March 21,_2003 in St. Joseph Care Center following an extended illness. Lee was born July 27, 1911 in Harrisburg to the late Peter and Rose (Cornett) Hartman. He was a retired foreman for Alliance Steel Products and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville. Lee enjoyed keeping a calendar of daily activities in his life and received great joy in exchanging special hugs from his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him so very much.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Leroy Haidet of Louisville; four grandchildren, Denise and Tom Siegfried of Homeworth, Renee and Brad Wilcox, Bryan and Amy Haidet and Lori and Bruce Begue, all of Louisville; 12 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Jason, and Brianne Siegfried; Michael and Cristina Wilcox, Joshua, Megan and Aaron Haidet, Abbey, Ashley and Jeff Begue, and Lorrie Jackson; and three great-great- grandchildren, Mason Wilcox, Aeden Begue and Lauren Siegfried.
Lee is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Vera Hartman who passed away December 26, 2002, eight sisters, Anna Hartman, Mildred Blend, Sister Mary Lufgardis, Julia Biedenbach, Minnie Karl, Bernadette Kieffer, Sister Mary Alacoque (Edith) and Sister, Genevieve, and three brothers, Brother Claude (Francis) Hartman, Joe Hartman and Albert Hartman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Church Building Fund.
