  [S927] Obituary. HAUCK Jr., CARL W. October 1, 1932 to August 7, 2009 Born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Carl W. and Grace C. Hauck. Carl graduated from Carnegie Tech with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1954. In October 1954, he married the love of his life, Betty, in Pittsburgh. After two years in the U.S. Navy, he and Betty settled in San Diego. He retired after 32 years of employment with Kelco. In retirement, he enjoyed golf, tennis, camping and woodworking. Carl amazed everyone with his breadth of knowledge and skills. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Gregory (Shauna), David (Darelyn), Monica Hamiel (James) and Pauline Camp (John), his sister Rita Hosford (David) and five grandchildren. Mass service Friday, August 14th, at 11:00 a.m., St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4077 Ibis Street, San Diego. Donations may be made in his name to St. Vincent de Paul Elementary School or Father Joe's Village.
