JOSEPH BETTINGER DIES SUDDENLY
CALDWELL, March 4 - Joseph Bettinger, 61, retired
farmer and oil field worker died suddenly at 12:30 this after-
noon at the family home on Bridge street as the result of a
heart attack.
He was born in Middleburg, O., and resided there
until coming to Caldwell, 11 years ago.
Surviving in addition to his widow, the former Bertha
Young, are a son, Clarence, of the home, three daughters,
Mrs. Gladys Miller of Rt. 4, Mrs. Frances Hesson of Dexter
City, and Mrs. Bernice Templeton of Edinburg, O.; a sister,
Mrs. Mary Hupp of Zanesville, three brothers, Alex and Henry
of Middleburg and Andrew of Dexter City; 12 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at the McVay funeral home
until services are held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. A. J.
Staats of the Free Methodist church in charge. Burial will
be in Olive Cemetery.
