Joseph H. Glasser
Dorchester - JOSEPH H. GLASSER 74, of Dorchester, NJ died Sunday July 1, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, NJ. Born in Dorchester, NJ he was the son of the late Augustine A. "Gus" and Emma Lapihuska Glasser. Joe was a lifetime resident of Dorchester.
Joe was a 1963 graduate of Millville High School. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam receiving a Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star. He was a member of the American Legion Nabb Leslie Post #82 Millville.
Joe was a Mold Maker for Kerr Glass and retired from Wheaton Glass Co.
He enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, woodworking, making wood lawn ornaments, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his siblings, Eleanor Whildin of Delmont, Augustine "Gus" Glasser of Pottstown, PA, and Charles Glasser of Hedgesville, WV, nieces and nephews, Wayne "Tink", Kenny, Bob, Jim "Mutt" Whildin, Augustine "Sparky", Frendy, Michael, Michelle Glasser.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Homes 643 Main Street Leesburg on Friday July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery. Viewings will be held Thursday July 5, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Friday July 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leesburg Fire Co. P.O. Box 158 Leesburg, NJ 08327 or the NJ Veterans Memorial Home 524 NW Blvd Vineland, NJ 08360.
