Carroll CARROLL, VIRGINIA K., 87, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Norton Hospital. She was a native of Wilmington, NC, and a retired Assistant to the Director of Dosker Manor for over 20 years. She attended Ursuline College and is a member of St. Louis Bertrand. She was a member of St. Joseph's Orphans Society and Senior House Membership Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, Amadee J. Carroll and Isabelle Freville Carroll. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Dorothy C. Whelan of Louisville; two nieces, Mary Paula Clements (Frank) and Patricia A. Sena (No?l); one nephew, Peter T. (Amy) Whelan Ph.D.; three great nieces; and two great-nephews. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1106 S. Sixth Street with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road.
