AUSTIN -- The funeral Mass for Mildred Mae Anderson will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin, with the Rev. John Traufler officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson, 82, of Austin, died Wednesday (March 29, 2006) at her home.
Mildred Mae Twedell was born July 4, 1923, in Austin. On May 12, 1945, she married Chester M. Anderson at St. Augustine Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1962. She was a homemaker and daycare provider. She enjoyed making breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls to share and embroidered many sets of pillow cases and dish towels for her children's families.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Virginia) of Plymouth, Minn., and Chet (Paulette) of Austin; three daughters, Victoria (Dave) Roden of Maplewood, Minn., Debra (Arden) Engelby of Albert Lea and Cynthia (Thomas) Noble of Dodge Center; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Carol (Ted) Getchell, both of Austin. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service today at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin, where friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friends may also call an hour before the service Saturday at the church.

AUSTIN -- Mildred Mae Anderson, age 82, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at her home.
Mildred was born July 4, 192,3 in Austin to George and Mary (Logan) Twedell. On May 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to Chester M. Anderson at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1962.
Mildred was a homemaker and daycare provider. She loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. She made the best breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls in the world and she shared them with family and all of the neighborhood children. Mildred embroidered many sets of pillow cases and dish towels for her children's families.
Mildred's faith maintained her through many of life's trials and she passed that faith on to her family. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children: Stephen (Virginia) Anderson, Plymouth, Minn.; Victoria (Dave) Roden, Maplewood, Minn.; Chet (Paulette) Anderson, Austin, Minn.; Debra (Arden) Engelby, Albert Lea, Minn.; Cynthia (Thomas) Noble, Dodge Center, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Smith, Austin, Minn.; Carol (Ted) Getchell, Austin, Minn.; sisters-in-law: Mabel Twedell, Austin, Minn.; Leona (Emil) Goraczkowski, Amboy, Minn.; Ruby (Mel) Meister, Ark.; brothers-in-law: Donald Anderson, Minnesota; Jim Sheeley, Austin, Minn.; nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester; parents, George and Mary Twedell; sisters: Agnes Lee, Ethel Voss, Mary Sheeley; brothers: George and Ray Twedell.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father John Traufler officiating. There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The honorary casket bearers will be Adam Noble, Nicole Johnson, Jaime Lelei, Becky Pearson and David Smith. The casket bearers will be Chris King, Heather Anderson, Jackie Anderson, Shawn Cochran, Brian Engelby and Amy DelToro.
