Obituary:
ZANESVILLE - Mary B. Schwallie Miller, 98, of Zanesville,
died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at her residence
after a sudden illness.
She was born Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1907, in Fulda, the
daughter of John and Helena Kinnen Schwallie. She was
married to Roy F. Miller, who died Aug. 6, 1991. A member
of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Mary was a homemaker,
a former member of the St. Thomas Quilters group and a
member of the St. Nicholas Men and Women's Guild.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Eileen Miller,
Kathleen (Clarence) Bryan, Donna (Michael) Salahub;
and a son, Herman R. (Marla) Miller, all of Zanesville;
eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her hus-
band; three sisters, Anna Schwallie, Gertrude Schockling
and Elizabeth Schwallie; and two brothers, Aloysius and
Roman Schwallie.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wed-
nesday, Oct. 26, at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home,
935 Forest Ave., where the Christian Vigil service will be
at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
Oct. 27, 2005, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father
Jack Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive
Cemetery.
