Arlene O'Brien
Arlene Hoff O'Brien, 75, of Lodi, died March 11 at her residence. She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Jamestown, N.D.
Mrs. O'Brien moved to Medina at the age of 5 weeks old with her family. She attended a country school until it was moved to Medina. She worked at the Children's Home in Jamestown from 1952-54, when she married Glenn Hoff. She and her husband farmed around Eureka, S.D. until 1962 when they moved to California.
She was employed by Delta Sportswear/Catalina for 23 years until her retirement in 1991. She married Ralph (Pat) O'Brien Sr. in 1990. She was a member of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Schnabel, of Lodi; sisters, Martha De Wald, of Streeter, N.D., Violet Joachim, of Aberdeen, S.D.; brother, Oscar Ebel, of Bismarck, N.D.; twin granddaughters; five step-children and numerous step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph O'Brien Sr.; five brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park with Pastor Ralph Watts officiating. Burial will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park.
