TRIPP-Anna Schnabel, 91, Tripp, died Tuesday, May 30, 1989, at the Good Samaritan Center in Tripp. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Tripp. Burial will be in Gracehill Cemetery at Tripp. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Petrik-Kelley Funeral Home in Tripp with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1897, at Naper, Neb., to Christian and Kathrine Fischer. She married Adolf Schnabel on Feb. 8, 1917, at Tripp. They farmed in the Winner area until 1929 when they moved to a farm near Tripp. They continued to farm until they retired in 1950. They moved to Senator, S.D. and lived there for three years before moving back to Tripp in 1953.
She was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aide, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Tripp Senior Citizens. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Tripp since 1982.
Survivors include four sones: Edwin E., Tripp; Melvin, Mishawaka, Ind.; Rueben, Moeville, Iowa; and LaVerne, West Bend, Wisc.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchilodren, one brother, Peter Fischer, Winner; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Butler, Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1975, three sisters and four brothers.
