Barry Robert Garthofner, 64 of Phoenix passed away Sunday Sept. 30th at his home. Born January 28, 1943 in Seattle, Washington, he moved to Arizona from San Diego, CA in 1973. He founded Construction Unlimited, and operated it until ill health forced his retire ment. Barry was an avid gun collector and member of the National Rifle Association, the National Automatic Pistol Collectors Association and co-founder of the Arizona Society of Arms Collectors. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Christina Ridler, grandson Brett Ridler, sisters Ellen Ruane and Jean Sargent and brother Don Gilmore. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am Thursday Oct. 4th at Messinger Mortuary 7601 E Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ.
