Raymond Crock Jr. 04/08/2004 TIPTON, Iowa
Raymond J. Crock, Jr., of 222 E. 13th St., Tipton,
Iowa, died April 6, 2004, on a rural farm near Tipton, after
an apparent heart attack. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday with
a rosary service at 7 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Fun-
eral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Tipton. Father Eugene Benda will officate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A memorial
had been established.
He was born July 16, 1931, in Iowa City, to Raymond
L. Sr. and Dorothy A. (Brennan) Crock. He was a 1949 Tipton
High School graduate. During the Korean War, he served in
the U.S. Army. He married Margaret Jean Beuter on Aug. 2,
1952, in Morse, Iowa.
He was a farmer. He served on St. Mary's Board
and St. Mary's Cemetery Board, was a member of Tipton
Moose Lodge and a past member of Tipton Lions.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; children, Sue
Howe and husband Scott, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Steve Crock
and wife Denise, of Tipton, Teresa Wulf and husband Daniel,
of Tipton, Rita Cowell and husband Robert, of Lisbon, Iowa,
Kenneth Crock and wife Sarah, of Tipton, David Crock and
wife Amy, of Tipton, and Diane Wehde and husband Mike, of
Tipton; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers,
Donald Crock (Marianne) and James Crock (Mary Louise), of
Tipton; and sisters, Lorna Marchik, of Tipton, and Mary Jean
Bents (John), of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Raymond and Dorothy Crock.
