Mildred Nau Merry's obituary appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on Nov 2, 1976: CALDWELL-- Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Merry, 77, of
Caldwell Route 1, died at 12;10 a.m. Monday at Gurnsey
Memorial Hospital following a heart attack she suffered
a week ago. Mrs. Merry was born Aug 20, 1899 in Noble County. She was a life member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at
Fulda, a member of the Catholic Women's Club and of the
church choir. Her husband Jesse, died in 1968. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Omer (Dorothy)
Shott of Beach City, Mrs Carl (Ruth) Handschumacher of
Caldwell, Mrs. Myron (Cynthia) Law of Senecaville, Mrs.
Ronald (Marilyn) Arnold of Caldwell and Mrs. Carlos (Bar-
bara) Tucher of Sarahsville; five sons, James Richmond
of Bidwell, dale Edward of Navarre, Ambrose William of
Thurman, Jesse John of Gallipolis and Richard Francis
of beach City; a brother, Joseph Nau of Canton; four sisters,
Mrs. Clarence (Sylvania) Miller and Mrs. Edward (Sophia)
Schockling, both of Zanesville, Mrs. Clyde (Marie) Schell
of Chandlersville and Mrs. Frank (Cecilia) Ostrsoski of
Caldwell; 43 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and
three step-grandchildren. Friends may call at Estadt Funeral Home in Caldwell
until services. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday
at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fulda, with burial in Olive
Cemetery at Caldwell.
