  [S927] Obituary. RICHARD "RICK" KRANNITZ Richard "Rick" Rolland Krannitz, 48, Logan, died Thursday, July 17 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital following an extended illness. Born July 17, 1949, Logan, son of the late Paul Edward and Mary Reed Dougall Krannitz Sr., he was married to Carmita Diane Dennis Krannitz, who survives. A member of St. John Catholic Church, he was a laborer for 15 years for the Bailey Corporation in Lancaster and a Vietnam veteran. Also surviving are a son, Rodney Lee Krannitz of the home; a daughter, Misty Dawn Krannitz of the home; one grandson, Aren Richard Krannitz of Logan; three brothers, Paul E. (Margaret) Krannitz Jr. of Logan, Robert (Jean Ann) Krannitz of Logan and John (Barbara) Krannitz of Logan; one sister, Mrs. James (Mae) Thompson of Logan; one aunt, Jane Dougall of Logan; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James A. Geiger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 today at Roberts Funeral Home, where Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
