Paul Edward Krannitz Jr., age 78, of Logan, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at his residence.
Born September 30, 1937, in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Paul Edward and Mary Reid (Dougall) Krannitz Sr.
Paul worked as a supervisor for the Logan Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Logan, Ohio, for 36 years and the Sun-Glow Furniture Manufacturing Company in Logan, Ohio. He was an U.S. Navy Peacetime Veteran.
Paul was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio, where he served as a church usher for numerous years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2299. He volunteered his time to the construction of Our Lady's Hall at St. John Catholic Church. Paul was an avid fan of Logan High School athletic teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He greatly enjoyed the game of golf.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Edna (Haybron) Krannitz; three sons, Lance E. (Jacki) Krannitz of Logan, Ohio, Ryan L. (Paula) Krannitz of Lancaster, Ohio, and Chad M. (Elizabeth) Krannitz of Logan, Ohio; three grandchildren, Caleb, Madison and Katelynn Krannitz, all of Logan, Ohio; three step-grandchildren, Shadd and Stephan Rooker, Caitlin Doss; three sisters-in-law, Diane Krannitz, Jean Ann Krannitz and Barbara Krannitz, all of Logan, Ohio
Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one grandson, Brenden Paul Krannitz; three brothers, Richard R. "Rick" Krannitz, Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Krannitz and John "Jack" Andrew Krannitz; one sister, Margaret "Mae" Thompson.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. John Catholic Church, in Logan, Ohio, with Father William J. Ferguson and Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio, where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.
