Robert Joseph Krannitz
Died: Tuesday, June 13, 2000
Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Krannitz, 58, Logan, died Tuesday, June 13 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, after a brief illness.
Born January 17, 1942, Logan, son of the late Paul Edward and Mary Reed Dougall Krannitz Sr., he was married to Jean Ann Schultz Krannitz, who survives.
A member of the U.S. Army Tank Corps, having served in Germany from 1960 to 1962, he was a drummer with the Second Army Band during his service. He retired from Logan Goodyear after 35 years of service and was a D.J. and an avid drummer and golfer.
Also surviving are two sons, Tony J. Krannitz (fiancee Candy Moody) and Greg (Heather) Krannitz; a daughter, Mrs. Ace (Lori L.) Allman; two grandchildren, Molly Ann Krannitz and Jaden Jean Ann Allman; two brothers, Paul E. (Margaret) Krannitz Jr. and John "Jack" (Barbara) Krannitz; a sister, Mrs. James (Mae) Thompson; a sister-in-law, Carmita Diane Krannitz; and an aunt, Jane Dougall, all of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Richard "Rick" Rolland Krannitz.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sugar Grove, with the Rev. Father James A. Geiger officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Military services will be conducted by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Thursday at Roberts Funeral Home, where Christian Vigil services will be held at 7:30.
