  [S927] Obituary. The funeral service for Lorraine Marie Fauth, 92, Aberdeen, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 30 at St. James Lutheran Church, Leola with Pastor Sara Sorensen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Mound Cemetery, Leola. Lorraine died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 pm, Friday at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen. Lorraine Marie Steiger was born on January 17, 1921 at Leola, SD to Albert and Christina (Stoecker) Steiger. This is the area where she grew up and graduated from Leola High School with the class of 1939. On February 13, 1949 she married John Fauth in Redfield, SD. She worked for the County Auditor and Treasurer for forty-one years retiring in 1988 after serving as McPherson County Treasurer for four years. John died in February of 1974 in Aberdeen. Lorraine was a lifetime member of St. James Lutheran Church, Leola, where she was a member of the St. James Lutheran Women and the quilting group. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Leola Country Club and Leola Senior Center.
