Hi Ursula,
I have one more correction. Heinrich (Henry) DUTT, son of Jacob DUTT and
Barbara HELFER. I know Find a Grave has his birth listed as 27 July 1840,
but a baptismal record (LDS film #885,046) - Smithfield United Church of
Christ (formerly the German Evangelical Protestant Church, Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania) gives his birth as 28 July 1841 with a baptismal date of 8
August 1841. I chose to use the information from the original church
record as opposed to the Find a Grave record. That is your call.
I know both of my 3rd great grandparent's tombstone (Franz Jacob KUSLER
(Kussler or Cussler) and his wife Margaretha SCHWARZ both from
Albersweiler) on their tombstones their birth dates are identical but the
marriage record from the Stadtsamt said he was born 22 Oct. 1799 and she
was born 17 Sep. 1798. In this case I also choose the dates listed on the
marriage record.
I was at my local dentist office a few days ago and one the the assistants
had brought in a marriage record for me to read for her. I saw the name
Caspar Feiock and told her the family was from around Vorderweidentha and
then brought up your web-site on my phone to show her her family. She was
so excited. I told her I was confirmed with one of Caspar's descendants
and went all through school with the lady who had sent her the
information.
