Jacob Schuetz

Jacob Schuetz, 93, of Okawville died at 4:55 a.m. Jan. 14, 2010, shortly after arrival in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul United Church of Christ, rural Okawville, with the Rev. Bill Cummins officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-9 a.m. Monday in Campagna Funeral Home, Okawville and from 10 a.m. Monday until the services in the church.
Mr. Schuetz was born May 31, 1916, in Venedy Township, Washington County to Jacob and Marie (Ruehl) Schuetz. He married Edna Finke on Aug. 20, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo.
He was a lifelong farmer and a member of Washington County Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ (White Church) in rural Okawville where he had served on the church council and various other church committees.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel C. Schuetz of Okawville and Ronald (Elizabeth) Schuetz of Dalzell; one grandson, John (Beth) Schuetz of Seneca; three great-grandchildren, Tori, Ryan and Carter Schuetz; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 27, 2005; three brothers and five sisters.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery or the activity fund at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville or donor?s choice.
