Maggie was born on July 4, 1927, at New Leipzig, ND, the daughter of John and Mary (Eva Senn) Boespflug. As a child, her family moved to New England where her family farmed. She married the love of her life, George Wanner on May 14, 1946 at St. Mary's Church in New England. Maggie and George spent the first part of their life in Mott, ND, where she was a cook at St. Vincent's Grade School for many years. She was always remembered for her excellent meals that she had lovingly prepared for hundreds of children over the years. Maggie and George moved to Bismarck in 1977 where they worked as apartment managers for Rocky Gordon and Company until they retired in 1996.
Maggie's generosity, caring and kindness touched the lives of her family and many friends. She was an excellent cook and baker and will always be remembered for her famous fried chicken and a family favorite of fried noodles and potatoes.
