She was born October 22, 1919 in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Thomas P. and Effie May Reed Coneby. Mrs. Scarff was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, crocheting, sewing and cross stitching. On June 21, 1942 she married Corbit P. Scarff who survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Bonnie R. Gilbert (Tom) of Canonsburg, PA, Phyllis F. Pritt (Jim) of New Salem, PA, Denise E. Penberthy (Jim) of Glendale, AZ, Corliss L. Julian (Joseph) of Pittsburgh, PA and Rhonda L. Scarff of Wexford, PA; two sons, Dana W. Scarff (Linda) of Eighty Four, PA and Gary R. Scarff (Barbara) of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are a grandson, Brian K. Scarff and a sister, Olive Levers. Friends will be received on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. the hour of service in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA with Pastor Mark Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Scenery Hill Cemetery, Scenery Hill, PA.
