Fred A. Schwallie, 78, of 1327 Sharon Ave. died at 11:59 p.m. Monday Dec. 31
[1984] in Good Samaritan Medical Center where he had been a patient since Dec. 27.
He was the retired owner and operator of Schwallie?s Market on Sharon Avenue, a
member of the Knights of Columbus, and a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Catholic
church.
Mr. Schwallie was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugo F. Schwallie and Clement
A. Schwallie and a sister, Margaret A. Glitsch. Surviving are two nephews, Donald A.
Schwallie of Parma, and Edward H. Schwallie of Summit, NJ; six great-nieces and nephews,
and numerous cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hillis Funeral Home where
Christian wake services will be at 7 p.m. today. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic church with Father Richard Metzger officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery. Pd. Notice.

Mr. Schwallie was born April 4, 1906, in Zanesville, a son of Ambrose and Mary Ann
Fox Schwallie. Hillis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
