Clara M. Klug
KLUG, Clara M., 97, of Weirton, W.Va., having spent the past 5 1/2 years at the Inn at Wyngate, died Friday, August 31, 2007, in Weirton Medical Center.
She was born May 1, 1910, in St. Joseph Settlement, W.Va., the daughter of the late George and Josephine Estep Shutler.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Klug; four brothers, Raymond Shutler, Bernard Shutler, Harold Shutler, and Richard Shutler; five sisters, Ada Frohnapfel, Margaret Fox, Agnes Fox, Ella Fox, and Virginia Yeager.
Surviving are her daughter, Shirley (Edward) Punke of Steubenville, Ohio; four grand children, Monica and Ray Leech, daughter, Marina, Annie Spiess, children, Patrick and Hannah, Mary and Eric Balzano, children, Eva, Grace, and Liliana, Katie and Richard Stimpert, and son, Nicholas.
Clara was an employee for 25 years at the former Stone and Thomas in Weirton before her retirement in 1979.
She was also a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton.
Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 p.m., at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, and on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Settlement, W.Va., from 10:30 a.m., until the time of Mass at 11 a.m., with Fr. Franklin Neville as celebrant.
Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joseph Settlement, W.Va.
There will be a Vigil service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
