They moved to Homestead, Florida, where they raised their 3 sons. She was co-owner of the Caribe Motel with her husband Robert until her retirement in 1989. She dedicated her time and love to her family and gave herself unselfishly to all those she loved-Susan is survived by: (husband) Robert L., (3 sons) Robert G., Douglas S., and Timothy P., (11 grandchildren) Blake Sherwood, Robert M., Shauna, Shea, Ryne, Kipp, Rachel, Reid, Dare, Kade, and Randi Heisterman, (great grandson) Dillinger Sherwood, (sister) Barbara Rounds, (nieces) Amy Profit, Beth Whitlock, and (nephews) Dan and Patrick Farley.
