  [S927] Obituary. Thelma A. Latta nee Sonnhalter SOURCE: The Canton Repository, Canton, Ohio, Dec. 27, 2000 Thelma A. Latta, age 92 a resident of the CantonRegency, passed away there Monday morning [submitter's note: December 25, 2000] after an illness of several months. She was born in Alliance, a daughter of the late Herbert and Viva Agnes Sonnhalter, and had been a resident of the North Canton-Canton area most of her life. She was a 1926 graduate of North Canton High School. Mrs. Latta was a member of the Canton Art Institute where she had served on the Board of Directors, and also a member of the Whiskey Painters of America. Preceded in death by her husband, Elton L. Latta on Sept. 14, 1966. Survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carolyn Sonnhalter, of Stow; two nieces and one nephew, Joy Wynn and her husband, William of Stow; Jill Hetland and her husband, Daniel, of Cross Junction, VA; and Jon Sonnhalter and his wife Linda, of Cuyahoga Falls; and two great-nieces, Erin and Lauren Wynn. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Dr. William Watt officating. Interment in North lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. (tonight) 7 to 9 p.m.
