  [S927] Obituary. Jewell Karn, 80, Wimbledon, N.D., died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at her home. Jewell Henne was born Feb. 12, 1930, at Edgeley, N.D., the daughter of Christian and Adeline (Dufloth) Henne. They lived in Alfred, N.D., until 1940 when they moved to Jamestown where she attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1948. She taught in rural schools for a short time. She married Francis Karn on Oct. 29, 1956, in Moorhead, Minn. They lived south of Wimbledon where they farmed. He died in 2008. She is survived by a son, Dale (Sue), Wimbledon; two sisters, Glennis (Gary) Rath, Broadview, Mont., and Adeline Miller, Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, LaVon. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, with the Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, in the spring. Memorials: Jamestown Humane Society or The Lutheran World Relief Fund.
