  [S927] Obituary. Graveside services for Richard Lee Sparks, 73 are scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton, with Rev. Carolyn Higdon officiating. Richard was born March 29, 1935 in St. Louis, Ok. to Rupert L. and Ada Bell Ragsdale Sparks. He passed this life on February 15, 2009 in a local hospital. Richard graduated from Healdton High School in 1953. He worked at Wackers 5 & dime in Healdton and Pauls Valley, and sold shoes at Daubes Department Store while he attended Ardmore Beauty School. He and his two brothers used to play the piano and sing in the churches in Healdton and the rural areas. He moved back to Healdton in 1965 where he owned a Beauty Salon. He and his mother moved to Ardmore and he opened 3 more beauty salons and ran them for many years before he had a stroke in 1996. He is survived by one Brother, Calvin Sparks and his wife Debbie of Ringling, Ok. and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roy Sparks, and two sisters Fay Rean Curry, and Loretta Pruitt. His nieces and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
