Birth: Aug. 13, 1922 Beulah Mercer County North Dakota, USA Death: Dec. 22, 2011 Alta A. Reinhardt, 89, Beulah, died Thursday, Dec. 22,2011, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Rev. Kris Nyman officiating. Burial followed in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Beulah. Alta was born Aug. 13, 1922, eight miles north of Beulah to John and Lydia (Guthmiller) Tesky. She attended rural school north of Beulah through the eighth grade. On Oct. 25, 1942, she married Jack A. Reinhardt at Beulah. They farmed five miles west of Beulah, until they moved into Beulah in the 1970s. Alta worked various cleaning jobs, being most proud of the 19 years she cleaned at the MDU office in downtown Beulah. Alta also worked at the Beulah Community Nursing Home for 11 years doing different tasks, most often working in the kitchen and was well known for her delicious soups. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Beulah. Alta enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidery, baking (especially caramel rolls) and raising baby chickens. Also, she and Jack once won a polka contest. We love you dear mother, grandmother and greatgrand-mother. We hope you are having a wonderful Christmas in heaven. Alta is survived by her daughters, Milda (Ronald) Frei, Beulah, Delila (Melvin) Heinrich, Mandan, and Brenda Reinhardt, Wisconsin; one son, Dale (Dawn) Reinhardt, Beulah; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Adeline (Art) Ziemann, Hazen, Delores (Elmer) Renz, Missoula, Mont., and Betty Hausauer, Zap. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother; two infant sisters; and two adult sisters, Viola Heth and Esther Kirchmeier. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be given to the organ fund at Peace Lutheran Church.
