OHN RINK
MORTUARY RECORD
John Rink, son of Jacob and Catherine Rink, was born in Benton Township, Feb. 16, 1844; died at his home two miles northwest of Millersburg March 22, 1922, from infirmities of old age, aged 78 years, 1 month and 8 days.
He received his education in the common schools and when 18 years of age he was drafted in the army in October, 1862, and served nine months and a few days.
He was united in marriage to Alice Hoffman August 20, 1865. To this union was born four sons. William H. and Jacob F. of Millersburg (living), and Aldo and Perry (deceased). Their mother also preceded him in death, Aug. 9, 1879. Also surviving are four brothers, Michael,
William and James of Millersburg and Dan of Goshen, ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was remarried to Anna Borger Feb. 16, 1881. She departed this life April 16, 1914. There were no children of this union. Deceased was a life long member of the Catholic church. The funeral was held from the Reformed church on Monday afternoon, Rev. Schroer officiating. Burial in Brown's cemetery.
