  [S927] Obituary. Shirley Rose Johnson Watt, age 94, died on February 26, 2013 at GreenTree Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waterford, CT. Born December 30, 1918 in Hartford Connecticut, she was the daughter of Harold and Rosa (Fritsch) Johnson. After graduating from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT in 1936 she attended Colby Junior College for Women in New London, NH, graduating in 1938. After getting her degree, she re-turned to West Hartford to work at Hall High School. She married Dr. Robert S. Watt, DDS in West Hartford On February 13, 1943. After her husband joined the Air Force in 1952, Mrs. Watt and their two children lived in many locations with him including Germany, Japan and the Philippines as well as five states. She and her husband retired to the Johnson family cottage in Old Lyme Shores in Old Lyme in 1975. She has been a resident of Greentree Manor since 2008. She enjoyed volunteering, national and in-ternational travel, Jazzercise and swimming. She was predeceased by her husband, Colonel Robert S. Watt, USAF (Ret.) and her sister Mari-an Paige. She is survived by her children Nancy Lemega-Watt (Jerry Lemega) of West Hartford, and Harold Watt (Patricia) of Old Lyme; four grandchildren: Mary Rose McConaghy (Shaun) and Robert Lemega of West Hartford; Meredith Heyl (Geoffrey) of Sparks, MD; and Christopher Watt (Amy) of Old Lyme; and three great grandchildren Brady and Mason McConaghy and Elena Heyl. She also leaves numerous friends and relatives. Mrs. Watt's family wishes to thank the staff of Greentree Manor for the wonderful attention and care she received over the past five years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Air Force Aid Society. The funeral procession will assemble on Tuesday March 5th at 9:30am and will proceed to a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial in Christ The King Church, McCurdy Rd., Old Lyme. Burial will be private.
