Murray, 92, of Bluffton died at 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 at the Christian Care Retirement Community. She had been in failing health over the past month.She was born on Aug. 17, 1914, in Lake County, the daughter of Gilbert and Mary N. (Newhard) Jarrett. She was married to Wayne A. Murray in Poneto on Jan. 4, 1932. Mr. Murray preceded her in death on July 30, 1989.She retired in 1984 after working for 20 years as a cook in the Bluffton-Harrison School System. She attended the First Reformed Church of Bluffton. She was a lifelong resident of Wells County.She is survived by her sons, Frederick W. Murray and Jerry K. Murray, both of Bluffton. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Fred Jarrett, and by a great granddaughter, Lydia Marie Murray.Services are at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Sheets officiating. Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian. Preferred memorials are to the Christian Care Retirement Community.
