RICHARD ?DICK? VOELLER
The funeral service for Richard ?Dick? Voeller, 79, Aberdeen will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Aberdeen Alliance Church 1106 South Roosevelt Street, Aberdeen. Pastor Kerry Ascher will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dick died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his home.
Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00pm with family present from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen.
Richard Voeller, son of Anton and Viola (Crawford) Voeller was born on August 13, 1932 in Aberdeen. This is the area where he was raised and attended school graduating from Aberdeen Central High School. Following his high school graduation Dick was drafted into the United States Army and served in Korea. He returned to Aberdeen following his honorable discharge on November 4, 1954 and began working at Johnson Motors.
Dick was united in marriage to Phyllis Craft on May 26, 1956 in Aberdeen. The couple made their home in Aberdeen and Dick continued to work at Johnson Motors, a job which he held for 42 years.
Dick was an avid sports fan. During his retirement he delivered papers.
Grateful for having shared Dick?s life are his wife Phyllis Voeller of Aberdeen; children Earl (Suzanne) Voeller, Merle (Carol) Voeller, Wayne (Peggy) Voeller, Tammy (Robert) Webster, Scott Voeller, Lana (Doug) Feekes and Lisa (Darcy) Hedlund; grandchildren Sean Michael and Abby Joy Voeller, David Voeller, Janelle and Jordan Thistle, John Voeller, Amber (Cory) Hakala, Joseph Schmidt, Ray Schmidt, Elaine Hedlund and Marcella Marzenell and three sisters Barbara Brechting, Virginia Vinson and Ruth Weifenbech.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Viola (Rohrbach) Voeller, Daughter-in-Law Nancy Voeller and siblings Agnes Voeller, Laura Voeller, Helen Bell, Ida Hogg, Lucille Feiock, Dorothy Martin, James Voeller and Robert Voeller.
Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.
