Clara M. Kindelberger, 91,
of Export,
died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011,
at Clare Bridge in Murrysville.
She was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Pinson) Hawes.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Kindelberger;
three sisters, Elsie Hawes Thayer, Gertrude Hanson and Nellie Busby; and four brothers, Lawrence Hawes, Fred Hawes, Raymond Hawes and Clarence Hawes. Clara devoted her life to her husband and children. As the wife of a Westinghouse engineer, she lived in and traveled to many parts of the United States and the world. Clara is survived by her brother, George Hawes, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and three children, Ralph H. Kindelberger and wife, LaRue, of Export, Linda L. Smith and husband, Stanley, of Apple Valley, Minn., and Wesley M. Kindelberger and wife, Linda, of Wexford.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Walter Kindelberger and wife, Beth, Bradley Kindelberger, Brian Smith and wife, Rachael, Christopher Smith and Nikki Kindelberger; seven great-grandchildren, Anna and Ella Kindelberger, Genna and Aly Kindelberger and Stephen, Clara and Abbie Smith. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lois K. Albrecht; and several nieces and nephews. Clara was a member of the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church in Murrysville. Friends are welcome from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Marnie Silbert officiating. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions in Clara's name to Heartland Hospice Care, 3520 Route 130, Building No. 3, Irwin, PA 15642.
