John Frank Rochner Sr., 82, of Redfield died Monday. Survivors: wife, Doris West Rochner; sons, John F. Rochner Jr., Lewis Rochner and Jimmy Rochner, all of White Hall, Larry Rochner of East End, and Mark Rochner of Tyrone, GA; sister, Ruth Hartoon of Fort Smith; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rochner's home, 2021 River Road, Redfield. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan.

John Frank Rochner Sr., 82, of Redfield, died March 24 in Saline County. He was born June 24, 1925, in Point DeLuce, the son of August "Gus" and Gertrude Litch Rochner. He was a decorated World War II U.S. Army Veteran, having received the EAME Theater Ribbon, three Bronze Service Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and a World War II Victory Ribbon. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was retired from Cotton Belt Railroad after 44 years of service. He loved to hunt and fish and was a master gardener. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Doris West Rochner of Redfield; sons, John F. Rochner, Jr. and his wife, Chae, of White Hall, Larry Rochner and his wife, Michelle, of East End, Lewis Rochner of White Hall, Jimmy Rochner and his wife, Vicky, of White Hall and Mark Rochner and his wife, Jennifer, of Tyrone, Georgia; a sister, Ruth Hartoon of Fort Smith; 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service was held March 29 at the Rochner's home. Arrangements were by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan.
