He died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his home. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 and after 9 a.m. Thursday. William J. Wibbels Sr. Died: Sunday, March 09, 2008 William Joseph Wibbels Sr., 62, Georgetown, died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his home. Born Dec. 19, 1945, he was the son of Mary Agnes Jones Wibbels of Corydon and the late Thomas Alphonso. He was a pipe fitter for Reynolds Aluminum and retired from Eckart's in Louisville. Survivors besides his mother include his wife, the former Patsy Sondergeld; a son, William J. Wibbels Jr. of Elizabeth; a daughter, Lori Mieure of Indianapolis; three stepsons, Patrick, Chris and Phillip Vaughn, all of Louisville; a brother, Thomas Wibbels of Corydon; and nine grandchildren. Visitation: Wednesday, March 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 13, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral: Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
