CRASH FATAL TO HOWARD ARCHER
CALDWELL - The body of Howard Archer, 39, Noble county native who
was intantly killed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in an auto accident in Dahlonga, Ga.,
is being returned here for funeral services and burial. Arrangements are incomplete
but the body will be taken from Cambridge to the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. William H. Archer near here by the Brubach funeral home of Summerfield.
Archer, a World War II veteran, when he was in the engineering corps in the
South Pacific as a sergeant, had been employed in the south by the Tennessee Pipe-
line company which is now building a pumping station near here. Surviving are his
parents; four brothers, Bernard of Caldwell Route 1, Paul of near Dexter City, James
and Andrew of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Morrison of Marietta, Mrs. Irene
Hupp of Caldwell Route 4, and Miss Lucy of the home. The father is the head of the
Noble County Production Marketing Association and the family is well known.
Nature of the accident was not disclosed in the message received by the parents.
The body was scheduled to leave Georgia yesterday.
Howard Archer's death certificate listed him as a resident of Lumpkin County, Georgia.
