FORMER PROMINENT CALDWELL RESIDENT IS TAKEN BY DEATH Alex Michel Taken by Death After Illness From Cancer CALDWELL O., -- July 31 -- funeral services for Alex Michel, 63, former well known resident of the Caldwell vicinity will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, from the Catholic church at Swissvale. Death occurred Wednesday in the family home following an illness of cancer due to an infected tooth which was extracted a year ago. The deceased was the son of the late John and Eva Hill Michel of near Caldwell and resided in Noble county until 30 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Rachel Yeagle Michel and the follow- ing children: Andrew, of Washington, D. C.; Clyde, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Marie, Regis and Walter of the home, and the following brothers and sisters: Leonard and E. H. Michel, Caldwell; Henry Michel, Louisville, Stark county; Mrs. John A. Miller, near Caldwell; Mrs. E. H. Crock, Fulda; Mrs. Simon Crock, Zanesville; and one grand- child. In addition to the brothers and sisters of this vicinity, Mrs. Eliza- beth Michel, a sister-in-law, will attend last rites at Swissvale, Saturday.
