George H. Fessel, 69, of R. 1, New Salisbury, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrison County Hospital, Corydon. Fessel was a retired farmer and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church, Bradford, Ind. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Theresa Timperman Fessel; four sons, Charles Fessel, New Salisbury, Jerome Fessel, Corydon, Harold Fessel, Floyds Knobs and Philip M. Fessel, Louisville; three daughters, Mrs. Mary C. Schueler, Princeton, Ky., Mrs. Margaret Smith, New Salisbury and Mrs. Carolyn Schueler, Clarksville; two sisters and 22 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, where funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday from St. Michael's Catholic Church at Bradford with interment in the church cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. George H. Fessel, who owned and operated one of the fine farms north of New Salisbury near Central Barren many years, died Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. in Harrison County Hospital. He was 69 years of age. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Michael's Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home at Palmyra. Mr. Fessel was a member of St. Michael Church at Bradford. He was a member of the St. Michael's Men's Club and Harrison County Council Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Theresa Timperman Fessel; four sons, Charles E. Fessel of New Salisbury; Jerome Fessel, of Corydon, Harold Fessel of Floyds Knobs and Philip M. Fessel of Louisville, three daughters, Mrs. Mary C. Schueler of Princeton, Ky., Mrs. Margaret Smith, New Salisbury and Mrs. Carolyn Schueler of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Leona) Kochert of New Albany and Mrs. Clifford (Marie) Schroeder of Bradford, and 22 grandchildren. A brother, Joseph Fessel died in 1940.
