Albert Ferber, a well known citizen of Morgan Township, passed away at his home near Palmyra last Friday night about eight o'clock following several months' illness of lung trouble. The deceased was about fifty-six years of age, and was born and reared in the county. He was a member of the Catholic Church at Bradford. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Michael Catholic Church at Bradford, conducted by the Rev. John B. Gorman. Burial was in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Ferber, and seven children, Mrs. Barbara Hooks, Mrs. Jessie Porter, Katherine and Frieda, John, Lawrence and Carol Ferber, all of this county. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Katherine Barksdale, of New Albany. A daughter Bertha preceded her father in death.

Albert Ferber, son of Joseph and Crescentia Ferber was born near Hancock Chapel, Ind., August 7, 1875 and departed this life October 9, 1931, age fifty-six years, two months and two days. He was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church of Bradford. He was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Fessel, April 27, 1897. To this union eight children were born. One daughter, Bertha, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and seven children, Mrs. Albert Hoehn, Mrs. Harry Porter, Johnnie, Kathryn, Freeda, Lawrence and Carl, all of New Salisbury. One sister, Catherine Barksdale, of New Albany, the last of a family of thirteen children survives him. Also seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a kind husband and father and will be sadly missed by his family who tenderly cared for him until the end. Funeral services were held Monday morning, October 12, at Bradford, the Rev. John B. Gorman officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
