Funeral services for Gerald A. Gettelfinger, 64, R. 1, Ramsey, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. He was a native of Harrison County and was employed by the General Service Administration of the Census Bureau, Jeffersonville. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Frenchtown. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Kiesler; three sons, Joseph Gettelfinger, New Salisbury; the Rev. Gerald Gettelfinger, Indianapolis; and Anthony Gettelfinger, Ramsey; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Ernstberger, Georgetown; Mrs. Agnes Marie Ernstberger, Clarksville; Mrs. Joan Marquet, New Albany; Mrs. Jean Batliner, Floyds Knobs, and Mrs. Antoinette Swank, Sycamore, Ill.; three brothers, three sisters and 38 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey.

Gerald A. Gettelfinger, 64, of Rt. 1, Ramsey, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday at Harrison County Hospital. He was a native of Harrison County, and was employed by the General Service Administration of the Census Bureau at Jeffersonville. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Burial will be in church cemetery. The body is at the Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey.

Gerald A. Gettelfinger, native and lifelong resident of R. R. 1, Ramsey, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday in the Harrison County Hospital. He was 64 years of age and a son of the late Daniel and Mary Ems Gettelfinger. A retired farmer he was employed for 30 years in General Service Administration of the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville. Mr. Gettelfinger was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church at Frenchtown and it's Holy Name Society. His son, Gerald A. Gettelfinger Jr. is superintendent of education of the Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Survivors besides Father Gettelfinger include his wife, the former Mary Kiesler; two other sons, Joseph F. Gettelfinger, New Salisbury and Anthony Gettelfinger, Ramsey; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Ernstberger, Georgetown, Mrs. Agnes Marie Ernstberger, Clarksville, Mrs. Joan Marquet, New Albany, Mrs. Jean Batliner, Floyds Knobs, and Mrs. Antoinette Swank, Sycamore, Ill.; three brothers, Father F. J. Gettelfinger, New Haven, Ky., Monsignor Joseph D. Gettelfinger, Lebanon, Ky. and Raymond Gettelfinger, R. 1, Ramsey; three sisters, Mrs. Ursula Shidler, and Mrs. Lorena Ebel, both of Louisville and Mrs. Agnes Sieg, Ramsey; 37 grandchildren. The body was at the Swarens Funeral Home where the Rosary was prayed at 8 p.m. Friday. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in Saint Bernard's Catholic Church, Frenchtown. The main celebrant was Father Gerald A. Gettelfinger, son of the deceased, assisted by Father Francis Tuohy, Father Donald Ackerman, Father Joseph Sheets, Father Joseph McGinley, Father F. J. Gettelfinger, Father Kenny Sweeney, Father Lawrence Richard, Father Richard Lawler, Father David Senefeld, Father Andrew Diezeman, Father Louis Marchino, Monsignor Joseph D. Gettelfinger, Monsignor Blockhold, Pastor of Saint Bernard's Parish, father Donald Everard. Absolution Rite was conducted by Archbishop George J. Biskup, archbishop of Indianapolis. Casket bearers were Wilfred Sieg, John Gettelfinger, Eddie Ebel, Raymond Shidler, Drue Eaton and Lyle LaHue. Burial was in Saint Bernard's Cemetery.
