  [S927] Obituary. rma Faye Babcock | Visit Guest Book SPEARFISH - Irma Faye Babcock, 90, died March 6, 2005, at the Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish. Irma was born November 3, 1914, to Clifford A. and Anna P. (Volz) Foster on their homestead north of Wall. On August 6, 1934, she married Ben La Roche at Winner, SD. She was the bookkeeper at Becker's Drugstore in Rapid City for several years. In 1949, she and Ben moved to Wall, where they owned and operated the La Roche Market. She married Scott N. Babcock on February 4, 1978. They resided in Rapid City. Survivors include her husband, Scott Babcock, Spearfish; her daughter Evonne Welsh, Spearfish; eight grandchildren, Wendy (Bob) Knackert, Paula Welsh and Patrick Welsh, all of Milwaukee, WI, Peter (Arlene) Welsh of Key West, FL, Richard (Shelly) Welsh of Cilena, TX, John (Cathy) Welsh of Peoria, AZ; Joe Welsh of Cleveland, OH, and Christine Gustafson of Ewen, MI; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Delos and Leo Foster; one sister, Vernie Paulsen; and her first husband, Ben La Roche Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Church of St. Therese, the Little Flower in Rapid City with Rev. William Zandri presiding.
