Birth: Nov. 31, 1924
Death: Sep. 6, 1989
Evansville
Vanderburgh County

World War II Marine Corps Veteran. Married to Grace Gehlhausen Hart. Known as Hermie to his best friend Frank Current, Sr and his 6 older children. His wife Gracie was a school teacher in EVSC at Dexter School until retiring. They never had children, so they considered the Current kids as theirs. Frank and Hermie were electricians for EVSC school Corp. My father considered him to be his "brother", not just coworkers. I will never forget how he looked. He was short and bald like daddy. Except Hermie had a handlebar mustasche, bushy eyebrows, and a darker complection. And Hermie called me, "Queenie", and daddy called me Kathy Georgine the Queen! I would always get a big hug and then a kiss on my cheek when they would see me at Stringtown Elementary. Hermie smiling that warm smile and stroking his mustasche.
Sisters: Gloria Bruce, Geraldine Wigand, Maryann Weiss, and brother James A Hart.
Member of Haymakers, Eagles, VFW Post 1114, volunteer at Dexter Elementary.
