Elnor Mae (Shaw) Fiock Passed unexpectedly on December 29, 2007. Devoted wife for 56 years to surviving husband Len. Loving mother of 5 and grandmother of 12. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Ruth and brother Jim. Survived by sisters Edna, Elsie and Lora. Born on February 15, 1926 in New York; she moved to San Jose in 1956. As her children grew, Elnor was perpetually involved with Scouts, PTA and church groups, as a 50 year member of Willow Glen United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the League of Women Voters, ASME Auxiliary, and volunteered at the San Jose Art Museum. After her children were grown, she worked as an office manager for H&R Block for 15 years. An avid bridge player, she will be missed by the many groups she played in. Elnor also enjoyed years of great sailing and camping camaraderie with her Day Sailor friends. Her other passions included traveling, particularly ELFUN and Elderhostel adventures, and spending time with family, especially her sisters and grandchildren. Elnor lived a full, rich and happy 81 years. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Willow Glen United Methodist Church, 1420 Newport Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers you make a donation to your favorite charity.
